Katherine grew up in Denton in a home where her dad was a minister of recreation at their church, so she has been able to see sports ministry lived out since she was young. She was able to continue her love for sports playing basketball at Kilgore Junior College for a year before transferring to Baylor to play softball. After receiving her BSE from Baylor her love for sports and the Lord continued as she worked part time for FCA and coached in Denton part time. Katherine met her husband, Ben, through FCA and moved to Austin for their first years of marriage. There she taught Bible classes and coached volleyball, basketball and softball at Hyde Park Baptist School and also served the UT softball team as an FCA chaplain. In 2007, God moved Katherine and Ben to Waco where Ben continued serving FCA and Katherine began the start of her 14 years working at Baylor serving athletes and coaches in a ministry role. God has once again been faithful in opening the door for her to serve on FCA staff once again alongside Ben and his staff. She is excited about the opportunity to minister to female coaches and athletes in the area and use her passion to see lives changed through sports. Katherine is also mom to 3 amazing kids; Ava, Haley and Levi. She and Ben love being their biggest supporters in life.
