Day 2 (Part 1)

It is amazing what the Lord shows us and provides for us. Today we went to the city dump in Guatemala that is in between zone 3 and zone 7. Viewing the dump was a very humbling experience and I felt heartbroken for the people living there. Then we were told that while we see the dump as a problem, they see it as a blessing and an opportunity. The Lord provides in just the right way and it’s not always what we expect. In Proverbs 46:10 it’s says, “ Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord provides for us in so many ways and it’s not always in the box that we put him in that he provides, he will make his name exalted in ways we can’t imagine!

We then went to the community and got to work with kids that went to ASG, Advancing the Ministry of the gospel. In this school many of the kids live in bad neighborhoods with barely a roof over their heads so the school is a big blessing to them. We got to play and do stations with the kids and just see the joy that they had in their eyes when getting to play soccer.

Then tonight we went to play soccer with an older girls team. They were so sweet and so much fun to play with. God has humbled me today and shown me how great and mighty he is. I don’t understand why I get to live the life that I do and these kids have to live the life that they do, but I do know that He is in control and that He provides for our needs no matter what the situation!

I’m praying for your team as you minister to the people of Guatemala. The Lord is blessing you as you are a blessing to others.
